we are exactly one month away from travelling to our first location, high up and far back in the mountains. the first half of our shoot takes place in one of the remotest valleys in switzerland. but before we get there we have a few things to get sorted, obviously. not least our cash flow.
so today, with the new website, we're also officially launching our fundaframe campaign. we want to make this the first frame-by-frame funded feature film in history. if this was a traditionally financed film, it would be classed as a low or ultra-low budget feature, and it would cost about £250k. being a no-budget feature, it will cost, in cash, about a tenth of that. which sounds like a bargain, and of course it is. it's only possible because everybody is giving their time for free to start with, with the dim prospect of seeing some sort of fee much later, if and when the film is released. and it still leaves us with about £25k that we need to find.
and that's why the very first thing we need to send out, today, is our plea to you: please fund a frame in our film! it costs less than a pint of ale, and significantly less than a glass of wine, but every little bit adds up and comes together and with you help we can make a bit of film history, even before our film is made.
thanks
